In addition to strong academics, students grow in their understanding and experience of the Catholic faith.  St. Alphonsus Catholic School has a strong sense of Catholic Identity which is evident in daily prayer, weekly liturgies, and frequent participation in the sacraments.  

At the primary level (5K to 2nd Grade):

• A concentration on faith, values, & religion are woven into the day
• Leveled reading to support individual needs; dedicated learning support specialist for students who qualify
• Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, & Science to strengthen core skills in preparation for intermediate grade levels
• Sacraments of Reconciliation & First Communication

At the intermediate level (3rd Grade to 5th Grade):

• Continued growth in our curriculum, including Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, & Science
• Introduction of our Classroom Buddy Program:  3rd Grade Students become buddies with 3K students, 4th Grade Students become buddies with 4K students, and 5th Grade Students become buddies with 5K students for all-school activities)
• Emphasis is placed on both increased independence & personal responsibility and accountability
